Welcome back to altimate.SHOWDOWN Naarm! It’s Season 2 and we are ready to make even more loud, positive noise!
Presented by alt. and Mara Maraschino, altimate.SHOWDOWN is the genre-spanning competition unapologetically celebrating everyone who is different and uniquely fierce, with a focus on showcasing diversity and local performers. 56 performers from the underground performance worlds of Drag, Burlesque, Sideshow, Comedy, Music, Performance Art, Dance entertainers (AND MORE!) will battle it out to earn the title of Champion and walk away with the grand prize worth over $10,000!
Taking place across 5 nights in April and May in the heart of Brunswick at Stay Gold, each night will be hosted and judged by local legends of Naarms’s fringe entertainment world.

A high-femme kaleidoscopic cyclone of extroversion and light perversion, Ruby Slippers lives by the motto that you’re either Dorothy, or you’re the twister. She's campy yet vampy, a clown-in-a-gown, burlesque supervillain and drag disruptor.
A serial name-dropper, she’s shared the stage with Amanda Lepore, Brooke Candy, Pabllo Vittar, The Boulet Brothers and Boy George, and Michelle Visage has called her work “incredible”. Enough said.
BELLA DE JAC - GUEST JUDGE HEAT ONE
Glamour queen, party girl and powerhouse of the Australian Burlesque Industry Bella de Jac brings a formidable weight of experience to the stage. Crowned Miss Burlesque Australia 2015, named twice in the Top 50 most Influential Burlesque Performers in the world and toured across the US, UK, Australia & New Zealand, they are a respected and established art maker and educator.

Exploring an array of feminine archetypes both tantalising and terrifying, Bella creates a space that is equal measures sensual, playful, insightful, and free of inhibition.
BEVERLY KILLS - GUEST JUDGE HEAT TWO
Beverly Kills is Australia's ultimate drag darling. With her explosive performances and razor-sharp wit, Beverly is a force to be reckoned with. She's got a sideshow hook with glamourous uppercut, this girl is a total knock-out!
Her past five years of work in helping cultivate Australian queer culture has brought her to be the first and only QLD representative on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under. Her one-queen cabaret show "HEAVEN & HELL" toured Australia and earned a nomination for Best Cabaret at Anywhere Festival 2023.

Fierce, fat and FAborigional! Kitty Obsidian is a proud Wiradjuri/Gamilaroi trans performer specialising in slow seduction, ferocious fetish & sickening sideshow! Hailed as aggressively queer, Kitty is a teacher, mentor & producer as well as internationally recognised performer of Burlesque & Drag. VIC NAIDOC LGBTIQ+ person of the year 2022, GLOBE VIC winner for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts 2023; Kitty loves to bring their award winning brand of activism to their art. Dubbed 'The Jewel in Melbourne's kinky crown' by Melbourne Rubber, Kitty is a lifelong fetish educator and facilitator working alongside incredible buisnesses, organisations and people to provide premium kink performances, skillshares and events.
